Scarlett is a driven professional who is taking the NY startup scene by storm. She is SVP Open Innovation & Ecosystem Builder at BBVA and manages operations at Infomous, where she is helping to change the way people surf the Internet. Outside of work, she is an avid consumer of information about the NY Tech and Venture Capital scenes. She is also a big fan of philanthropic activities, especially those that support the development of young women. She, along with 500 other youth around the globe, in collaboration with the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Global Education, is trying to get every child into school by the end of 2015.

A technology guru, Scott Bales is a global leader in the cutting edge arena known as “The Digital Shift & Mobility”, which encompasses innovation, culture, design, technology and mobility in a world gone digital. A thought leader through and through, Scott thrives on the intersection between cultural and behavioural changes in the face of technology innovations. Scott is a founding member of Moven, the mobile payment company which helps clients spend, save and live more intelligently. He is also a founder of Next Bank and mentors entrepreneurs around the world via Lean Startup Machine. He’s an advisor to Fastacash, Our Better World, HUB Singapore and CDI Apps 4 Good as well as part of the advisory council for Care Pakistan.

Sebastian is a business designer focusing on accelerating teams in the area of Data, Internet of Things and FinTech. He facilitates Hackathons and Innovation Labs introducing a people-centred approach to develop innovative experiences that enable teams to create disruptive startups. Sebastian combines various backgrounds from engineering and business innovation to entrepreneurship and is a startup mentor at various programs.

Sergio Chalbaud

Founder, Fintonic

Sergio Chalbaud is a co-founder of Fintonic.com. He has 9 years of banking experience, first in Chase Mahattan Bank and then in Banesto where he was responsible for Development and Distribution of Market Products. En 2004 he founded the fintech company Ideon Financial Solutions. As well as lending services to third parties, Ideon also operated as an incubator for innovative projects in the fintech field, including Fintonic.com, Summa Servicios Financieros (Fondo Apoyo a Empresas), Tradeslide.com, Licuos.com and the deposits platform Choice. Sergio studied CCEE at Deusto University and has an MBA from the University of Chicago. He also has the CFA and FRM qualifications.

Stefan Mathesius

Head of Financial Instruments, Agency of Innovation and Development of Andalusia (IDEA)

Stefan is head of Financial Instruments at the Andalusian Innovation and Development Agency which forms part of the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment. He is managing about 1000 Millions of Euros in different funds. In the last 5 years his funds invested about 400 Millions of Euros in about 500 companies, most of them innovative start-up or early stage companies based in Andalusia. Before to that position he was economic advisor at the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Enterprise. Prior to joining the Andalusian Government he was working for six years in Management Consultancy and Private Equity at Goetzpartners, Valoris and Investment Banking/Distressed Debts at Cerberus Capital Management. Stefan studied Industrial Engineering and Economics in Karsruhe (Germany) and Seville and holds an executive MBA from IIST. Over the last ten years Stefan has actively invested in several seed and start-up companies, some of them have successfully launched an IPO.

Stephen Greer

Analyst, Celent

Stephen Greer is an analyst in Celent’s Banking group and is based in Madrid, Spain. His research focuses on retail banking trends, with an emphasis on digital channel technology. He joined Celent from Springboard Research, where he wrote and consulted on Internet and Communication Technology (ICT) market dynamics in the Middle East and Africa. In Stephen's time at Springboard, he wrote key reports and led projects for major global corporations, influencing strategy across the MEA region. Prior to that, he worked at a small investment firm supporting client relations and data analysis. Mr. Greer got his degree from the University of California Los Angeles. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Vicente es contador público por el ITAM, tiene MBA por el IPADE y cuenta con un Máster de Coaching Directivo por el IESE. En 1994, tras fundar la empresa FinComún, fue seleccionado como Emprendedor Endeavor. Permaneció como director general de FinComún hasta 2010, durante este tiempo su inquietud lo llevó a co fundar otras empresas: ProDesarrollo en 1999 y AMSOFIPO en 2009. Todo el conocimiento y experiencia obtenidos tras una larga carrera dirigiendo estas empresas, Vicente decidió fundar su siguiente gran idea: kubo.financiero, en 2012.  kubo financiero es un banco digital multiproducto que contribuye a crear y fortalecer la clase media emergente a través de servicios financieros innovadores, ágiles y sobre todo, accesibles.

Yolanda Pérez

Director, BStartup

Yolanda Pérez is a Director at BStartup, the recently created Director of Entrepreneurship of Banco Sabadell. She has more than 15 years’ experience in public and private initiatives in support of the creation of businesses. Much of this was in diverse roles at Barcelona Activa, the local development agency of the Barcelona City Council, where she ran programs for innovative businesses, incubators, the Parque Tecnológico Barcelona Nord, finance, internationalization and growth programs. She has a law degree, a Master in Public Policy from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra and John Hopkins University and has taken various courses on business creation and growth at ESADE and IESE. She speaks English, Spanish and French.
