All entrepreneurs and developers from Fintech startups as well as IoT, Mobile, Big Data, eCommerce, Fraud and Digital Identity, and other segments or verticals with solutions applicable to financial services are welcome to join us!

Moreover, Miguel Santos, Founder and CEO of Technisys, will provide insights into latest developments and trends in Fintech and payments in the region. Lastly,-Pablo Becker, Project Manager de T&E Express and Sebastian Cardenas – CEO of Increase, participants of the first edition of Visa’s Everywhere Initiative in 2017 will participate in an interview where he will share his experience in the program. The evening will end up with a networking session where you will have the opportunity to get in touch with the Fintech community.

Miguel Santos the founder and CEO of Technisys (technisys.com), the digital banking venture backed company. The company has installed offices in US, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina. Technisys is now serving more than 30 banks such as Banco Estado de Chile, Banco Falabella, Banco Macro, Banco Original, BROU, BSCH, Citibank, Davivienda, Diners, GlobalBank, Hipotecario, Improsa, Itau, HSBC, Pacifico, Patagonia and Sudameris. Recently the company raised 13MM for its B-Series from top investors such us Intel Capital, Alta Ventures, KaszeK, Holdinvest and Endeavor Catalyst. A few years ago he also started investing in technology based ventures with high growth potential where he can add value with his experience and network in areas such as digital finance, crypto, security and fintech in general. The Endeavor entrepreneur featured a report from the Stanford University presented in the World Economic Forum at Davos, as one of the 50 companies in the world showing fast growth. Regular speaker at Red Innova, BAI and other banking conferences, Miguel is a referent in financial technologies in Latin-America. He is also very active in inspiring entrepreneurs, giving lectures in Stanford, NYU and other important universities. Moreover, in 2014 he became donor to the Endeavor foundation and investor on Red Innova. On the social and community side, Miguel is co-founder and financial supporter of DemocracyOS.org, a non-profit technology venture aimed to improve the citizenship participation in politics through the use of the new tools Internet can provide. Last but not least, Miguel is a father of two, husband, snowboarder and DJ once in a while.
Visa’s Everywhere Initiative LAC 2018
The 2018 edition of the global innovation program will bring together early-stage startups across Latin America and the Caribbean to explore solutions to solve the commerce challenges of tomorrow. Startups in Latin America are leveraging technologies to develop innovative businesses that can potentially enhance financial services and transform payments and commerce in the region. Visa’s Everywhere Initiative is looking for Fintech startups, as well as other tech-driven startups in verticals or segments such as IoT, Mobile, Big Data, eCommerce, Fraud and Digital Identity, across Latin America and the Caribbean to engage in one of the most dynamic and collaborative innovation programs worldwide.
Visa’s Everywhere Initiative will travel across Latin America looking for the 12 most innovative Fintech startups capable of meeting the needs of the local market. Startups will participate in the semifinals, which will be held in Mexico City, Bogota, Lima, Santiago, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires. Each semi-final will have 6 participating Fintech startups, and the 2 best startups from each semifinal will participate in a 4-day immersion program and will pitch their projects in the final, which will take place at FINNOSUMMIT in Miami on October 4th and 5th, 2018. The most innovative Fintech startup in Latin America will be selected at the final, winning a US$50,000 award, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with Visa on the future of payments, gain exposure to venture capitalists and Visa’s ecosystem of partners.
Moreover, a special recognition will be given to the best startup with the highest potential to have an impact on financial inclusion in the region. Who will also be invited to participate in the 4-day Immersion Program at Miami and at FINNOSUMMIT Miami.
