Visa’s Everywhere Initiative comes to Santiago on August 30th to celebrate one of its six semifinals in the region. During the event, we will meet the 6 emerging Fintech semifinalists from Chile and nearby countries, who will pitch their businesses in front of a panel of judges and compete to be selected as finalists. The two selected finalists will participate in a 4-day immersion program and will pitch their projects at the final of Visa’s Everywhere Initiative, which will take place at FINNOSUMMIT in Miami on October 4-5, 2018. The most innovative Fintech startup in Latin America will be selected at the final, winning a US$50,000 award, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with Visa on the future of payments, gain exposure to venture capitalists and Visa’s ecosystem of partners. Moreover, a special recognition will be given to the best startup with the highest potential to have an impact on financial inclusion in the region.
Furthermore, during the semifinal in Santiago, we will hear from Fernanda Vicente, Founder de Inittia, a distinguished Fintech thought-leader who will offer a keynote to the 150 attendees during an evening filled with innovation and financial disruption.
Visa’s Everywhere Initiative Semifinal will end off with a networking cocktail, which is designed for the local community of Fintech innovators to network and socialize amongst each other.

We present to you the 6 startups that will take the stage to present their projects before a panel of judges, made up of Visa executives, financial institutions and investors from the Chilean Fintech community.
- Comunidad Feliz: Chilean EFM offering a property management software for financial planning, a payment channel for community fees and a social network for homeowner’s associations.
- Facenote: Chilean ID Validation startup offering an opt-in facial identification technology that helps companies recognize their most valuable customers.
- QVO: Payment gateway from Chile that allows online business to accept debit and credit card payments through a world-class API and a complete payment dashboard.
- Tink: Chilean ETFI startup offering a white label SaaS that increases sales in the financial industry through referral automation.
- Weeshing: Mexican crowdfunding platform that allows users to invest in their favorite artists, sharing profits with promoters.
- Pagaya: Chilean payment multiplatform allowing transactions between people where buyers can pay in installments with a credit card and sellers receive the full payment after 48 banking hours.
Visa’s Everywhere Initiative LAC 2018
The 2018 edition of the global innovation program will bring together early-stage startups across Latin America and the Caribbean to explore solutions to solve the commerce challenges of tomorrow. Visa’s Everywhere Initiative is looking for Fintech startups, as well as other tech-driven startups in verticals or segments such as IoT, Mobile, Big Data, eCommerce, Fraud and Digital Identity, across Latin America and the Caribbean to engage in one of the most dynamic and collaborative innovation programs worldwide.
Visa’s Everywhere Initiative will travel across Latin America looking for the 12 most innovative Fintech startups capable of meeting the needs of the local market. Startups will participate in the semifinals, which will be held in Mexico City, Bogota, Lima, Santiago, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires. Each semi-final will have 6 participating Fintech startups, and the 2 best startups from each semifinal will participate in a 4-day immersion program and will pitch their projects in the final, which will take place at FINNOSUMMIT in Miami on October 4th and 5th, 2018. The most innovative Fintech startup in Latin America will be selected at the final, winning a US$50,000 award, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with Visa on the future of payments, gain exposure to venture capitalists and Visa’s ecosystem of partners.
